We are so thankful for your help.
We are limited by our funds and our ability to draw new volunteers. Our rescue is funded only by contributions. Below you will see how we use the donations. We are happy to allocate the funds to your specification – or utilize them for the most immediate needs.
Additionally, there is always a huge list of items needed and we do have a wish list on Amazon as well.
ADOPTION FEES
The adoption fees cover the cost of the dogs medical costs. There is no profit from adoption fees. Many of our dogs are neglected and often have not been fixed or chipped. Our approach to help save dogs that are generally fearful or have training issues and rehabilitate them and place them with tolerant people who are aware of their challenges. Your investment in Haven Dog Rescue benefits not just one dog’ medical needs or pull fees, but many dogs that come through our Rescue.
SUSTAINING DONATIONS & SPONSORSHIPS
Sustaining donations help us stay afloat. They help with food costs, grooming, training, the purchase of equipment and advertising.
FOSPICE
Sponsorship is especially needed for elderly dogs that have little chance of being adopted due to heath and age. We call this Fospice Care. Sponsoring a senior and funding medical treatment ongoing. Linda Hay is a dedicated volunteer and offers some of our smaller and elderly residents foster care till they are adopted. This can be very expensive generally and we always welcome fospice donations. Sadly this is a very limited resource due to lack of revenue.
DAILY OPERATIONS
This helps with cost of general cleaning, supplies, transport, and office equipment, etc. No one at our rescue is paid for their work with dogs. We are a registered charity and ALL our donations are used for our rescued dogs.
